How can I use my email I have been using on my iPod touch 5th generation, to connect with the messages on the Macbook Pro, so that I can send a and receive messages on my mac?

⌘+Spacebar - type in Messages - double click the app open
messages - sign in using the same email ID - you should be able to use messages on the mac
