Q: How do I set alert with sound as default?

In El Capitan, I want all my alerts to be with sound. Its painfully to go in and customize each and every alert, every day. It finally learned to set my deault as 1 hour with sound, now how do I make the thing default to that. I just don' see it in the settings and if its my last issue with the auto spell being in System Perferences >Keyboard, I will bet if I go look at System Preferences > Sound, its right there...

Hahahha, I was close! I go to System Preferences > Notifications and I see for Calendar a "Play sound for notifications" check box, and i can set my alerty style to be banners, Alerts, and none. Like my phone. Cool.

I did check to play sound for notifications, and I do have alerts set, so i'' go do one in 5 & 10 minutes to see if it over-rides my settings in Calendar itself.
