external display when having lid closed on macbook pro 2012
does the 2012 macbook pro able to use this function? have a wireless mouse and when i close my computer the display will go black to my monitor.

When it says the requirements include an external display, keyboard, and pointing device, and your power adapter connected, NONE of those items is optional.
