Frustrated about BEATS

No sound on Beats Studio 2.0

It was fine, I had sound coming through, loved it! after had to charge though, for a few minutes, out of box!

I have an iPod classic and tried to use appropriate wire, no luck.

Tried to replace with regular wire, no sound.

I noticed the lights blink red.

Called Apple support, said to charge for couple hours, did that, no sound!

Beats said to lower volume, again, nothing!

Does it need a longer charge time? Does any one know about the charge lights, how they look when fully charged, or depleted?

Have I ruined it by trying the ipod wire without effect?

Can someone please help before I send it back for refund!
