After installing Win 10 i receive a black screen

hi there,

I am trying to get a MacBook Air Mid 2012 installed with Win10.

I am able to install the image with no issues but when i install BootCamp i get half way through the install and then the screen goes black and i have to hard shut down the Mac. After that i cant boot past the win logo however i can still boot into Mac OS.

I noticed it could be the graphics driver causing the issue so i went about installing the bootcamp drivers individually excluding the graphics related drivers. But soon enough i received the black screen.

So i tried just installing the image and letting it sit there, took about 15 minutes until the screen went black again.

Each time this happened i had to reinstall the image.

Could this be a hardware fault or is there something you guys can offer some advice with?

Hello IANORIT,

As I understand your issue, shortly after booting to Windows 10 your screen goes blank and you have to force your computer to shut down. Following that, you’re not able to boot to Windows 10.

Take a look at this article: If you don't see some Mac features when using Windows on your Mac - Apple Support to make sure that you have the most recent version of Apple Drivers.

Take care!
