Thunderbolt Bridge Connection

THere is a Thunderbolt Bridge that showed up in my configuration inquiry. I don't recognize the MAC address assigned and don't recall ever using it. Would anyone have some knowledge about the Thunderbolt Bridge and if I should just delete it?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Duane - I appreciate your response, and do apologize for my late reply.

WHen I said " Configuration Inquiry" I probably used the wrong terminology. I find the new (most times) interface when I open the following:

System Preferences; Network; Virtual Interfaces; Name: Thunderbolt Bridge - BSD Name: bridge0; I chose to Delete and a pop-up window warns, "This bridge is in use by Network Services. ..... Do you want to delete the bridge and its associated configurations?".

I delete the bridge, although I honestly can't quite conceptualize what this is or how this works. Problem is that next time I open System Prefs; Network; I usually get a notice of this "new" bridge interface again.

Do you need any additional information? Would you be willing to enlighten me on what the bridge is and if I should seek a permanent deleting method?

Thank you -
