Photos: Simple way to reduce image size

I frequently need to reduce the size of screenshots. Looking for an extension, or an app, that would allow me to do this. It's such a simple task, but I have not been able to find a way of accomplishing this without exporting, then importing the image back. There are plenty of apps that allow cropping of images, but even dedicated screenshot apps/extensions can't reduce the size.

The functionality I need is basically what Preview on Mac offers under the Adjust Size menu either by percentage, or by change to specific pixel size. An extension that can reduce and then save the image as a copy within Photos app would be best. An app that can access an image in Photos, reduce the size, then save it back to Photos would also be good.

Any suggestions?

It's the export / import steps that I'm trying to find a work-around to.

Reducing image size is such a basic function. I would have expected many apps, especially screenshot markup apps, or extensions to support this. I've already tried half a dozen such apps, but node do this.

You don't have to test them yourself. If you know of something that seems to have this functionality, just let me know and I'll try it.

Thanks for your assistance.
