Q: Google Maps not working.

When I try to open Google Maps on Safari on my MacBook Pro,

It comes up with 'Safari Web Content Quit unexpectedly'.

It then flashes three or four times, then closes.

Any help to fix would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

First, Google Maps requires OS X v10.8.3 or later >  https://support.google.com/maps/answer/3096703?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

If you aren't sure which OS X is installed, click your Apple  menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click:  About This Mac

The OS X version is noted there.

If your Mac is running v10.8 or later, you may have a Safari extension or third party plug-in installed that's causing a conflict. It’s easy to troubleshoot.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Uninstall one extension at a time, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
