Q: Pages still offline

Anyone out there got any idea when the iCloud Pages issue will be sorted. It's been the best part of a day offline. All I get is the 'loading' message and the thing going round on a grey background.

Were other network destinations working during the same timeframe? Apple shows no iCloud outages or issues from Noon onwards (all that shows). I would double check whether you remain signed into iCloud in System Preferences : iCloud on OS X. Additionally, in that iCloud panel, is iCloud Drive enabled, and under its options, is Pages checked? Did you reboot your Mac to see if that made a difference?

Many thanks Viking. It only seems to effect Pages which unfortunately is the only one I use. All the others are working fine. Notes. Find my Mac etc. Pages has had the 'loading' symbol for more than 24 hours now.

Hi the iWork team. It’s a completely bizarre situation re Pages.

My username is **** and the time I noticed it was offline is (I think) last thursday 2nd june at about 8am Irish time. It seemed to coincide with a breakdown in the iCloud service I was told.

I still can't access Pages on either my MacPro with El Capitan or my MacBookPro with Mavericks.

The workaround with Pages is via the iCloud drive where I open them from. That way I overcome the accessibility problem. But that too has its drawbacks. I can’t create a new blank document.

The workaround for that is via my iPhone where I can still open Pages. I create the doc and name it via my iPhone and wait for the wifi to update my MacPro and MacBookPro Pages app. Bit time consuming but so far it works.

    Regards - Ken

BTW it would be really great if Pages had the drag and drop text feature like many other apps have including Mac Mail.

This is a user-to-user forum. You are not addressing Apple. You can leave Apple feedback here.

Have you tried signing out of iCloud and then signing back in?

Many thanks Kilgore-Trout. Yes I'm logged out automatically and have to log back in each time. The reason is I got some feedback from iWork but so often with apple emails they're no-reply ones. So I took the chance of replying and posting to make sure.
