If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone and each Apple Watch to the latest software:
- Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Update the software on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Otherwise, the following steps have helped to resolve battery life issues for some users:
- Restart both your iPhone and each affected watch:
- Turn the devices off together, then restart your iPhone first;
- To turn a watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off;
- To turn it on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
- Unpair and re-pair the affected watches:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of the watch automatically when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
For the best performance, keep both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth permanently enabled on your iPhone.

Jun 3, 2016 4:05 PM in response to davefromanaheimby Jonathan UK,If you have previously used any third-party fitness tracking apps (such as Strava) to record workouts on the affected watches, check whether there is presently a paused activity within any of those apps on those watches. If there is, end that activity from within that app on the watch.
