Q: Download of the OS X Capitan does not complete

I did try to download the OS X Capitan more then 20 times, when it is about to complete it stops and ask me to try again.

 

I changed the network, deleted the almost done downloads but nothing changes, any ideas?

 

On the same network I did succeeded downloading and installing it in my notebook, no problem,

 

In my iMac 27" no way!!!

Hi Carolyn,


Thank you for your answer but no, it didn't help. I do have well over 500MB of free space and my broadband is 100MB Optic Fiber connection so that wouldn't be the problem, I even changed networks to see if that could affect the download, but no, all the same.

 

In those images you can see my drama ;-)

 

Any other thoughts?

    Hi,

     

    El Capitan requires at least 8GB's of free storage space >  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201475

     

    Click your Apple  menu top left in your screen.

     

    From the drop down menu click:  About This Mac then select the Storage tab. Free space is noted there.



    Also, you will need a broadband connection to restore from a backup or restore OS X using OS X Recovery.


    Less than 10Mbps, you will need to upgrade to a faster internet connection.

    Only click where you see;  Begin Test

    I have an image also showing that it was less then a minute to finish the download, always stops at the same point:
