Q: Upgrading MacBook Pro hard drive?

Basically what the title says. Ive seen a website that offered you to send in your MacBook and have the storage upgraded I didn't think i was going to need it because I wasn't going to be doing much on this computer. Push comes to shove and now this "other" stuff has taken up all the space on my computer (almost not even joking) got the base model MacBook Pro 120 GB and as of right now Other takes up 111 GB of the 120 GB. I've done everything possible to try to delete the files but nothing is working. I've downloaded a cleaning app and it did absolutely nothing. So if you can recommend me a third party that offers to upgrade my hard drive, that would be greatly appreciated.

Side Note: I've tried searching for the website but only find tutorials on how to do it myself and I don't trust myself enough to open up this computer and upgrade the storage.

Installing the cleaning app was a mistake. All of them can corrupt your MBP. Go to the developers web site for uninstall instructions and delete it.

Sometime a Spotlight reindex will correct it:

Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of your files and the respective sizes. Transfer to an external HDD or delete files you no longer want on your MBP.

Do not forget to empty trash. Only then is space allocated for new data.

Thanks for the help, apparently videos I edited on FCP X and transferred to my external hard drive (deleting them after the editing was done) was still on my hard drive.

With that being said, I would still like to know if anyone has a third party, actual legit company where I can look up reviews, that can upgraded my Macbook Pro hard drive.

I have never come across any such such site that would do that. I can point out that OWC, a company I have done a lot of business with, sells quality products and is very consumer oriented. If I were to install a SSD in a retina MBP, I would choose to go with their product.
