If you can, take it back and get the seller to either give you your money back or for them to remove it from their iCloud

It requires the Apple ID and password of the previous owner. If you don't have it and cannot get it, then the device is useless to you. Return it for a refund if you can.

Jun 3, 2016 6:36 PM in response to Ton-tonby Michael Black,Return it to whomever sold it to you and demand a refund. That seller should never have sold a device that cannot be used by anyone else. There is no way to bypass activation lock, so without that iCloud account owners password, that device is utterly useless to anyone else.
