Q: Can Windows 10 or 8 64 bit run on a Macbook Pro late 2011 15 inch

So the specs for my Macbook Pro computer are:

The system requirements for windows 10:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC
RAM:1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit
Hard disk space:16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS
Graphics card:DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
Display:800x600

Finally, the system requirements for windows 8:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz)* or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 (more info)
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

Could I run it then? My main worry is the fact that Windows says you need a DirectX with WDDM driver. What does that mean? Do i have that at all? Am I in the clear since I have the AMD Radeon driver? What is WDDM?

Also a few people said the bootcamp application will not help you with windows 10, what does this mean? Will they not update the drivers for you? What is the alternative if bootcamp doesn't help you?

That Mac can run Windows 8 in Boot Camp, but not Windows 10.

Im pretty sure its 64 bit though? Can it run windows 9 thought by any chance?

1. The information I posted applies to 64-bit editions of the OS.
2. There is no Windows 9.

Okay I see, but other than that even if I wasn't updating with Bootcamp, my Mac could still take windows 10 right? Could you answer the video driver question i had above as well?

Also question again.........If I can't use bootcamp, can i use another program to set up windows 10 on my computer, or will my computer not support it period?

I saw on other threads it is possible to add windows 10 on your computer but you need to use another program other than bootcamp. Is this true or will my model not support it period?

Virtual machines. ORacle VirtualBox (free download), Parallels and VMWareFusion (paid). You need a legal copy of Windows, and the VM will provide adapters for graphics, networks.

Those are safe when gotten from the developer or a trusted reseller for the commercial ones.
