newest IPod skipping over sings that deffinetly on there

I just got my IPod on the 27 of may. It was working great when i last turned it on, on Tuesday last week . I turned it on today and it will only play 2 of the songs on one of my playlists and wont play those songs its skipping at all. I really needed that playlist it is rather important so if possible could you tell m what i can do to get it to play play those 5 or 6 songs it is skipping over.
