I am attempting to import video files from SanDisk into Final Cut Pro X. However I'd like to only upload a portion of each video file due to the large size of the files. How can I do this? Or do I have to upload the entire file? Thank you for the help!

UUnless the media is coming from a camera or camera archive, you have to import the entire file.
If it's importing from the card, drag a selection or use in and out points to import what you need,

Hi Russ - I am loading Quicktime Files previously saved to SanDisk. When I attempt to highlight only a small clip it selects the entire video. So I'm assuming that I can only load the entire file? Any ticks? Thanks for the assist.

using the free tool VCC from spherico.de allows to convert 'files' into virtual cam cards, then FCPX offers a seletcive import.
