Q: My Mac Book Pro needs to be restarted after several hours of use.

My Mac Book Pro (Retina, 15-inch Late 2013) OS X El Capitan v.10.11.5 must be restarted after several hours of use. Then it works fine, I can click into sites and do searches.   A few hours later, the same thing happens again. Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3; Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7.

Could you describe your Mac's behavior prior to restarting?

Just doing my usual stuff, going from email to Safari, or just opening Safari and clicking on links, then after a bit, nothing is clickable on Safari. I can do other things, but not  Safari related browsing, it seems.

Download and post an Etrecheck report:

    http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

    Run an Apple hardware test:

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257

Note that an error free AHT is not conclusive.

    Ciao.

I've run the EtreCheck report. How do I post it/where do I post it? Can I copy/paste it into this form?

Will do the Apple hardware test later this morning.

I noted that I was using Safari browser. Another person asked if it happened with other browsers so I opened Chrome but haven't spent enough time on it to know if it happens with that one too. But I noticed it is mentioned in the report.

    Here is the report:

I ran the Apple hardware test and it said "no issues found."

I've had to restart several times since I posted this issue so it still isn't resolved.

I've tried to open Chrome and go to the websites when it happens in Safari and there is the same issue in Chrome.

Thank you for any help or insight you may have for me.

Probably not related to your problem, but I recommend that you rid the MBP of Google and all its parts.  It is the resource glutton of browsers and is using a lot of the MBP's CPU.  I use Firefox, Safari and Opera.

The AHT has proven to be barren of possible clues.

I note some kernel panics have occurred.  Please use thes instructions to log and post one:

I don't have a clue how to do what you said about MBP...  Is that the Chrome browser? I can delete it, but I don't know how to get rid of "all of its parts." Can you tell me?
