Q: Child Purchase Request not Showing

All,

My kid has his own iTunes account and it works just fine. We have restricted his account to ask for permission when buying from his device, and it works. However, only my wife gets the requests for approving the purchase, and sometimes mine does. She has an iPhone 5 running iOS 9.3.2, mine is iPhone 6 Plus running the same version. I set up all devices when I enabled Family Sharing.

I have double checked and my parent Apple ID is set in my iPhone for iCloud and iTunes Store and App Store.

Any ideas what I'm missing to not get the purchase requests?

Click here > Request and make purchases with Ask to Buy

Then check out: Choose Another Approver

See if that applies to your situation.

Carolyn,

I have tried and I'm the organizer (so no option to be Parent/Guardian) and my wife had it turned on. I turn her off as parent, the request never comes. Is that organizers cannot approve requests?

After following several suggestions, signing out and in again in several devices, I get the notifications in my laptop running OS X 10.11, but they don't appear in the iPhone, not the prompt nor in the Notification Center.

Some discussions I have been through to no joy, apart from Carolyn's article:
Ask to buy notification not received by organizer.
Can't approve family sharing request
