Can I recover photos after restarting my IPhone?

I somehow accidently restarted my IPhone, which cleared my phone by deleting all my apps, photos etc.

My IPhone came back to the "Hello" screen and I have to log in all over again but my device is cleared.

Is there any possible way in which I can get my photos back? I'm not sure whether I backed up my IPhone recently enough to have saved everything, but how would I at least recover those photos that I backed up?

Restarting your phone would not have brought you to the Hello screen and deleted anything.

You may have hit "erase all content and settings" which is not the same thing at all. If you have iCloud Photo Library enabled, your photos are in the cloud. If you did not and have no backup, your photos are gone. Your apps are in the App store and can be downloaded again.

At the end of the setup assistant, you were asked if you wanted to restore from a backup. Did you sign in to iCloud and see a backup?

Thank you for your replies. I wasn't the one who did this to my phone, so I'm not sure what exactly happened. I checked my ICloud, and some content only was saved, I think that I lost the rest of my pictures. Thank you for your help anyway, I really apprediate your quick responses.
