eleven rack driver issues?

I have an avid eleven rack. If i start my computer with the 11r connected everything works just fine. If i turn the 11r off and on again or the computer went to sleep, my macbook won't show the 11r as connected to record audio. If i use the standalone 11r editor to load presets to the 11r it still works but it is not recognised as audio interface and i can't record or play back audio from it. I need to restart my macbook to get it back online.

What seems to be the problem? is there a workaround like reloading kext files from console or something like this?
