create a table in Mail

Hi,

i want to insert/create a simple table in mail. Due the fact that it is a plain HTML file, it should not be difficult, BUT....it looks like that this is not implemented in OS X mail Version 9.3 (3124). Any ideas if there is a plugin with a different editor ? or a simple workaround?

In Postbox (another e-mail client) this is implemented, but i don´t want to switch to a different mail client.

Any ideas appreciated.

Double-click your HTML file to open it in Safari. Select all of your table in Safari, and then copy/paste directly into the Mail compose window. In my test, the table survives a round trip between different Gmail accounts in Apple Mail without formatting loss.


Ultimately, the mail user agent in use by the recipient, may or may not handle this content as you would hope.
