I want to put (not sure of the proper word - burn? download?) some of my itunes songs onto a USB drive, then play that drive thru my laptop.
I have itunes on my PC, but NOT on my laptop. Is that a problem? Can someone please explain to me like I'm a 5-year old how to do this? Thanks.
My PC is Windows XP and my laptop[ is Windows 7. Thanks!
You would need to have iTunes to play the songs.
You can simply copy and paste or drag the songs to your drive as you would anything else.
Ok. I thought so, thanks. Another question. I did copy & paste a few songs just to try, and it DID NOT work on my laptop (no itunes installed). But when i put the drive into my PC (with itunes) to play, it seemed like I had to select "itunes" each time a song came up? ie it didnt seem to want to play thru all the songs on the drive at once... Am i making this clear? thanks
Your laptop won't automatically play songs on a USB drive like it might try to play an audio CD. You'll need to invoke some audio software for playback. You could install iTunes, make use of Windows Media Player if it has been installed, or see MediaMonkey for a light weight media player.
