The edit buttons on Photos are not working. I am using my iMac. Any idea how to fix it? I love the edit buttons through Photos/iPhoto. Thank you!

Do what Larry suggested. Also follow these directions to make the User/Home/Library visible:
NOTE: In Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring up this window:
Since your problem is with a totally different software package than this over a year old post it would be best to start a new thread with the specifics of your system and your problem - using old, outdated solutions to new problems is not a good idea and often causes bigger problems

I have the same problem, since version 3 came with High Sierra. I wanted to try above fix, but I can't find a Users/Home/Library/Containers route, or the com.apple.Photos. They don't even show up in a search. There is a User folder, ad a couple Libraries, but none nestled as you suggest.
Why can't you edit? What exactly happens if you double click on a photo to enlarge it and then click edit?

Editing basics
You can use the Photos editing tools to easily make simple changes to your photos, such as rotating them or cropping them to get the best framing.
When you change a photo, Photos keeps the original so you can always undo your changes and revert to the original look.
Changes you make to a photo appear everywhere the photo appears in your library—every album, project, and so on. If you want to give a photo a unique look that appears in one version of the photo, first duplicate the photo and work on the copy.
Edit a photo
To edit a photo, first you open it in editing view, where you can see the editing tools.
Do one of the following:

Are you able to get into the Edit mode by pressing the Return key? It's quicker and easier, IMO, that moving the cursor to the Edit button.
When I said they weren't working, I meant they aren't working. I have used the edit features in photos/iphoto too many times to count. I double click on the picture. I hit edit. When I click enhance, nothing happens. When I click red eye, nothing happens. When I click touch up, nothing happens.
OT, I can get in to the edit mode. But none of the buttons: enhance, red eye, etc work. I click the enhance button and nothing changes.
reboot and try again

If rebooting doesn't help go into your Users/Home/Library/Containers folder and move the com.apple.Photos folder to the Desktop. Reboot and try the Edit button again.
