How to update IOS 5.1.1 to IOS 8 or IOS 9 on iPad1 or iPad2 ? Help !

Help ! Help ! Whenever I try to update my apps, I am aske to update my IOS 5.1.1 to the latest.

Problem ! Please help ! May I know how to update my iPad 1 or iPad 2 of IOS 5.1.1 to IOS 8 or the latest IOS 9.3.2 ???

Tried on the ipsw but cannot because it stated it is not compatible !

Please help me to update my IOS 5.1.1 to IOS 8 or IOS 9 because I cannot afford a brand new iPad.

Specifically, which iPad do you have?

The original iPad maxes out at IOS 5.x, so if that's the iPad you have then that's the latest option available to you.

The iPad 2 can run later versions of the OS (with some functions not supported), and if that's the version you have then connecting to iTunes should be the way to go.

Click here and look your iPad up.

If it's a first generation iPad, it can't be updated past 5.1.1. If it's a newer model, use its Software Update function or update it from iTunes on a computer.

If your iPad has no camera lens on the back, then you have an original iPad 1 and its iOS cannot be upgraded past iOS 5.1.1

And if it is an iPad 2 and only has 16GB of storage, updating to iOS 9 may not be a good idea. The OS is very large and will leave room for little else.
