Q: Install windows on second internal SSD iMac 2015
Hi,
I though this would be fairly straight forward using bootcamp but I have been encountering some problems.
I have installed a second 2TB SSD into my iMac Late 2015.
On going into bootcamp I see I can select the drive I want to install windows on i.e. Apple Disk or new Samsung SSD. I have an option to erase disk and use as a use a single partition for windows. I believe this is what I want as I want to run the SSD as it own start up drive solely designated for windows?
This is where it gets a bit hairy.
I do not have an install disc so I mounted the iso image use deamon tools which got the process going.. but not for long.
I received an error that their was a problem copying the files.
Is what I am trying possible, and is this the appropriate way to do it?
Will getting my hands on a superdrive and creating an actual CD solve the problem?
I have been told it can only been done if you are installing windows on the actual startup drive being used?
Obviously being an iMac it was not supposed to have 2 separate drives. Is that causing problems with bootcamp?
Please help... Thanks
iMac with Retina 5K display, el Capitan
