The Find My iPhone  link said my lostipad mini is off line. Then i called Apple Support. They said they could not do anything since its off line and it used WIFI not 4 G.

When someone picks up and turn power on, I will be only be notified by message. I believe they have tracing technology no matter what. Or hackers will catch up with them (Apple).

    Thank you for the help

If the device is not connected to a network, then no one has the ability to track it. The only way for Find My iPad to work is for that to have been turned on before the device is lost, the device needs to be powered on, and the device has to have an active internet connection. If any of those does not exist, then the device cannot be tracked. Since this is a wi-fi only device, it will only have an active internet connection if in range of a wi-fi network that it has joined in the past, unless you have it automatically join networks. Apple does not have the ability to track a device that is not connected to a network, and neither does anyone else.

However, if you believe a hacker can do this, then contact one of them to see if they can track your device. I'm afraid you will be disappointed.

    i see.

The best solution is not to lose it next time. Then I can find it. No hacker help.

Thank you for the explanation. I was so overconfident with Apple Technology.

Wait a moment. Someone may turn it on soon. I wait for the message.
