I can't start FileVault on my Macbook pro. When I try to turn on File Vault It shows following error.
Some disk formats don’t support the recovery partition required by encryption. To use encryption, reinstall this version of OS X on a reformatted disk.
MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

That is one Trusted Backup. The most Prudent way to proceed is to make another copy on another drive to protect against a problem with the Time Machine copy, as initializing your boot drive leaves you with ONLY the Time Machine copy, and no other, until you can successfully do the Restore. If something goes wrong, you could lose data.
