Q: New Apple Update Bug ios9 wireless networks not found

Since my upgrade, my device cannot see any witless devices and i even try to force it to my network ssid which is open and manually plugged it in, device cannot recognize wireless networks.

I did a restore and its still updating to the latest version causing my phone not to operate as manufactured.

Then i rest the settings and still the same deal.

Is there a way i can go back a couple of updates instead of the latest? My cell phone usage is killing my plan and technically speaking apple needs to do something about it.

I am not sure if this is method the company is using to increase its latest slumping iphone sales, but it can be perceived this way.

Please help, I do love the product when its working as designed.

Thanks,

    What is your iPhone model?

If you have tried all suggestions mentioned in this article and Wi-Fi still does not work, get your phone checked by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider next to your place.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support

    Start a service request

Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider

    Make an Apple Store appointment

    Thanks,

This is not a bug. There are hundreds of millions of iPhones that are on the current version that do not exhibit this problem. It is a problem with your phone. You cannot go back to earlier versions, and even if you could, it would not fix the problem with your phone. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far to fix it?

No problems with the update from my end. Below is a User Tip about Wi-Fi issues. Suggest starting from the top and working down. Maybe one of them will help.

    1) Perform a Forced Restart:  Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Allow device to restart.

    2) Reset Network Settings:  Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Rejoin the Network again.

    3) Reboot Router/Modem:  Unplug from power for 2 minutes and plug again. Update Router Firmware (check manufacturer’s support website for a newer FW). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (20 MHz recommended for the 2.4 band).

    4) Change to Google's DNS:  Settings > Wi-Fi > Click on the Network, Delete all numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or alternatively 8.8.4.4

    5) Disable device prioritization on the router if this feature is available. Also disable any VPN apps and test Wi-Fi again.

    6) Determine if other Wi-Fi devices on network are working well (other iOS devices, Macs, PCs).

    7) Try device at another Network, i.e., neighbors’, public coffee house, etc.

    8) Backup and Restore the Device using iTunes (ask for additional for details if desired).

    9) Go to an Apple Store for hardware evaluation.
