Q: Incompatible Audio Units Found

Something happened a few months ago and I can no longer access plugins that I use frequently, namely the iZotope RX3 bundle. I keep getting the error message. I've read some threads on here stating all you have to do is to find the audio.helper.plst files and trash them, however I cannot find those files in the Preferences folder.

Am I looking in the wrong spot or is there another work around?

You should probably contact iZotope. They probably have a simple solutions for this.

Thank you, Tom. I have sent an e-mail to iZotope explaining the issue. Hopefully this can get resolved quickly.

There are many Preferences folders, which one are you looking in?

Here is the response I received from iZotope:

This error is occurring because RX 3 is not supported on OS X 10.11 within Audio Unit hosts such as FCP X and Logic Pro X. This is unfortunately due to changes made by Apple.
To use RX within FCP on OS X 10.11, you would need to upgrade to RX 5, which is supported on 10.11
