Q: Cannot get into disk recovery
How do I get into the Disk Recovery at startup?
MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015)
OS X El Capitan ver 10.11.5
Command+R at the chime takes me to internet recovery. The globe rotates for 10 min or so then gives me an error:
"Apple.com/support
-2002F"
I just received the Mac back from Tokyo. After getting home with the Mac, I had the same error trying to reinstall the version that came with the Mac by using the Command+Option+R at the startup chime - I received the above error.
I then successfully entered disk recovery (command+R), and deleted the drive. I was also able to install the El Capitan OS X from the time machine. However, I need to do a clean install. Now I cannot get back in to delete the drive by using Command+R.
Right now both the Command+Option+R and Command+R go to "Internet Recovery" - starts the WiFi and then rotates the globe, ultimately giving the error:
"Apple.com/support
-2002F"
I have reset the NVRAM and the SMC no help getting into the Disk Recovery
Any help would save a 2 hr drive back to the support center.
Thanks
