external monitor (Dell S2716DG) flickering with Mac Pro

Hi all,

I have a new Dell S2716DG external monitor to use at work...

Once connected with DisplayPort with my Macbook Pro Retina it started flickering!

I've checked the refresh rate and set it to the maximum allowed (120Hz),

but it still flickers, and it's almost impossible to work on it!

By checking online I've seen that there might be also the 144Hz options,

but I cannot see it on my System Preferences!

Some of you with ideas/similar problems??

DisplayPort displays have an internal screen buffer, so do not anguish over refresh rates.

You need to make certain that the settings in the display itself (not just on the Mac) are adequate for what you are trying to do. Some DisplayPort settings for Dell Displays may need to be set manually using "on-screen display" settings.
