I have a 7th generation iPod nano and can't pair it with the bluetooth remote. Is this a common problem? Can it connect? If not does the iPod touch respond or can be paired with blue tooth remote? thank you
Whose Bluetooth remote? See iPod nano (7th generation): Frequently used features - Apple Support. It would seem that there are at least some compatible devices but you'd need to check the specifications and compatibility claims of the device.

Are you talking about the remote on BT headphones and controlling playback on the Nano? That will work. A plain BT remote will not work.
Does the 7th generation nano work with bluetooth remotes? If not does the iPod touch?
