Q: Duplicate and rearranged contacts

Hello - I have always struggled and have just come to accept duplicate contacts on my phone (I assume this is because I have multiple sources for contact info).

However, now all of my contacts are rearranged with the name or a person having the number of a different person and it looks like one of my contacts is housing all my other contacts - so the one contact has over 100 phone numbers.  Not sure how this happened or how to fix but I am hoping someone can offer some advice.  If I shut down some of my contact feeds to reduce the number of duplicate from ICloud, I lose contacts and unfortunately I don't have one "perfect" contact database.

I have an Iphone 6

Verizon is my carrier

I have iOS 9.3.2 software

Thank you in advance for any thoughts

    Hello abwalls,
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities for assistance. I know it's hard to make the most of your phone with your contacts acting up.

Whenever we run into an issue like this with contacts restarting and then re-syncing is always  good place to start. We can do that by simply signing out of iCloud and then restarting and signing back in. This will check your Contacts against your iCloud and make sure your phone is using the correct data.

To do this you can go to Settings > iCloud > Sign out.  Then restart as normal and sign back in.

The resource below provides additional troubleshooting steps for iCloud Contacts.

Get help using iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders

If the issue persists after trying these steps,  please let us know if this began after a recent update, or if you have a backup of you phone saved in iTunes from before the issue began.

    All the best wishes.
