Location, location, location.....

Arrrrgggghhhh....!!!

Having just set up a new BT Home Hub 3 at home, I find that my iPad 2 mini, as well as that belonging to my wife, fails to register location, either to set up the clock,or with a number of apps which utilise location...

My Mac, my iPhone and my wife's Nokia Lumia all register locations...the issue is purely with the iPads...any thoughts...?

Location Services are still activated, but just failing to work.

I've tried resetting my iPad, resetting and deleting all data, setting up as a new iPad and restoring from iCloud...all without success...!

iPad Mini, iOS 9.3.2, null

Hello Bloosman,

I know how important getting these iPads working properly like the rest of the devices in your house. Since this sounds like it started with the addition of the BT router from your internet provider, let’s start with these easy troubleshooting steps.

1. Restart your iPads and BT Home Hub router and test issue again.

2. Adjust Wi-Fi settings following these recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points.

3. Reset Network Settings on the iPads at Settings > General > Reset. Here are some additional steps that may help as well:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

If the issue still persists, if you are using a dual band router, try renaming each wireless network created by the router. Use a unique name for each band. BT may have some additional guidance for their Home Hub 3 product.
