Q: I have iCloud activated to sync my Notes but they don't come up?

Under Settings I selected Notes under iCloud so my phone knows it should sync my Notes with my iCloud account, but when I look on my computer, nothing gets synced. I noticed there are two folders on Notes called "iCloud" and "On my iPhone", and all of my notes are under "On my iPhone". I'm assuming this is why they haven't been syncing. Is there a way I can move them to the "iCloud" folder without losing anything? Or some how get them to show up on my computer so I can save them in Notes on my Macbook?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2

Drag the notes from the "on my iPhone" section to the icloud section.

Test it first to be sure it works if you are nervous.

I will try that and let you know how it goes. Do you know how I could go about dragging them to the other folder while on my phone?

Thank you, this helped me move them to the iCloud folder. Now I can't seem to have it sync from my phone to my computer. I will keep playing with it, I never had much luck with iCloud in the past, I could never get anything to sync properly. Under Settings I do have Notes selected to sync with iCloud, same on my computer, but it hasn't synced yet.

Try going to iCloud.com to see if the items are there and whether they are from the device or the computer. That should show whether the device or the computer isn't syncing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing. If the device, go to Settings/iCloud and do the above. You can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.

Thank you for the help, sorry for the late reply. After doing a test like LACAllen suggested, I followed what you said about checking iCloud.com and the test note showed up there. At least I'm able to access the notes that way once I merge them all into the iCloud folder on Notes on the phone. I'm still not sure which device it at fault, since I still can't access those notes though the Notes app on my MacBook. But that doesn't matter, as long as I can access them on iCloud.com. Thank you again!

What iOS are you running on the Phone? What OS X are you running on your Mac?

When you go to Settings>iCloud do you see the notes from your phone?

    Cheers,

You are welcome. If you can access the device notes at iCloud.com, the problem is the computer.

Try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing.

Have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?

Have you upgraded iCloud Notes on the device and computer?
