Q: how to remove returned books from library

I returned a book and received a refund.  However, it still shows up in my library on my iOS devices with no option to delete it. How do I get rid of this?

    Hello bholland60.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that you returned a book and got a refund but the book is still showing up in your library on your device.

iBooks purchases can be hidden so they are no longer visible in your iBooks app. Follow the steps on this article to do so:

Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases

    Have a great day.

The offending book does not show up in my Purchased list.  It only shows up under My Books on my iPad and iPhone with a download from cloud icon.  It can't be downloaded and it can't be selected to be deleted.

    Hi bholland60.

Please verify that when you checked the iBooks app Purchased section, you did so from a Mac or PC, and not on your iPhone or iPad. As iBooks purchases cannot be hidden via the iOS iBooks app. Here are the steps to do so:

In iBooks for Mac or PC.

    1. Open iBooks, then click iBooks Store.

    2. Under Quick Links on the right side of the iBooks Store, click Purchased.

    3. If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID and password.

    4. Scroll to find the item that you want to hide. Hold your pointer over the item and look for the X icon  in the upper-left corner. Click the  icon.

    5. When prompted to confirm that you want to hide the item, click Hide. The item hides.

    Steps taken from this article:

Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases

If the book in question isn't showing in the Purchased section of the iBooks app in your Mac or PC. Then please force close the iBooks app in your iPhone and iPad. Here's an article with steps on how to force close an app.

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then, on both your iPhone and iPad, go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Click on your Apple ID and choose the option to sign out. Then please sign back in with your Apple ID. Please make sure you know your Apple ID password before you complete this step.

    Cheers.

Do you mean "download from iCloud" instead of the cloud
