Q: FaceTime not listed for microphone access in settings/privacy/microphone. What is fix?

Can not use FaceTime because it cannot access the microphone.  FaceTime is not listed in the settings/privacy/microphone so it will not allow the use of the mike. Video works great!  What is the fix?

    Settings - Messages - turn iMessage OFF

    Sign out of Find iPhone

    Sign out of iCloud

     

    Do a forced restart -  After shutting down all open apps using the app switcher - invoked by quick double press of the home button and swiping up on each app till it flies off the screen.

    Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons down together till you see  logo - then release and allow normal boot up

     

    Then sign back into everything and turn iMessage ON
