IJ Scanner Utility will print but not scan from iMac

I have been using this Canon Mx920 for over a year - no issue. Had a paper jam. Cleared. Can still print and copy. But when trying to scan from computer, I jet error 2.156.0 "scanner is turned off or usb is not connected".

Re-downloaded and installed drivers. Once I installed the drivers "successfully", I can't find where to use them from.

Print but not scan. Wife can scan from her Macbook. So it is between my iMac and printer.

Yosemite 10.10.5

Try launching Image Capture. In the left pane, the Canon MX920 should show under the Shared section.

Another option is the Canon IJ Scan Utility (Applications/Canon Utilities/IJ Scan/Canon IJ Scan Utility)

If you haven't done so already, try resetting the printing system.
