Won't hold a charge...tried everything!

About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my MacBook air would not hold a charge. I tried switching chargers, etc. I have tried to reset everything, etc. Is there any troubleshooting I can do on my own or do I need to take it into Apple?

Most likely you need to replace the battery. Open System Information in the Utilities folder. Click on the Power entry in the Hardware list. You should see a display showing your batteries stats (be sure not to have the charger connected.) If you see that the battery needs replacing then that's what you need to do. You can check at OWC to see if they have a replacement battery kit for your model.

If the battery is OK and does not have more than 1,000 charges, then you may have a motherboard problem: Make an appointment at the Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar for service. If needed find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.

I have tried to reset everything, etc.

Did that include an SMC Reset: Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Your MBA's battery is not removable. Please read About Mac notebook batteries - Apple Support.

Quoting from the above:

Servicing the battery in your Mac notebook

MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro computers with built-in batteries should only have their batteries replaced by an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store. Attempting to replace a built-in battery yourself could damage your equipment, and such damage is not covered by warranty.

Reports of such damage frequently arise on this site.
