MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), Logic Board replaced;now this

What is telling you that you are in Seabrook, NH?

Macs don't have GPS or Cellular receivers, so they rely on the known locations of WiFi access points (AP) that it can see. If it is seeing an AP that has been moved from Seabrook, NH to where you are now, it may think it is there.

The data on the AP location is updated via iPhones and iPads that see the AP and also have some other location source.

Websites will use your IP address to determine location. If your IP address is somehow associated with Seabrook, NH, some websites may use that to present "nearby" offers.

Hello and thanks for that sensible and clear answer! I guess when I use the WiFi once in a while and that's how this is happening. Makes perfect sense to me. I Usually use my cable hook up. Old school; like things hardwired. Now I can rest easy thanks to your answer. I am not a computer type. Only got into it some years ago when i needed to for work. I have received some great advice from you folks out there and many, many thanks! Now I think I'll get some rest and go fishin' in the early AM.

The large mouthed bass in the river are calling to me!
