I understand that you are having an issue with accessing your music on your MacBook Pro. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.
If you are using Apple Music or iTunes Match, then you will need to make sure that you have iCloud Music Library enabled. I would open up iTunes preferences and in the General tab, you should see iCloud Music Library and make sure that is checked. After that, your library will show up.
Take a look at the article below as well as a screenshot of iTunes preferences for more details.
Sync Apple Music across your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and computer

If you are not using Apple Music or iTunes Match, then you will only be able to download your past purchases. If you can somehow get access to your old iTunes Library, you can transfer it to your new Mac. Take a look at the next two articles that talk about this.

It was no problem with the assist. I know that you couldn't get everything but glad that we could get something so you can get back to listening to your music.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Take it easy. -
Jun 11, 2016 7:18 PM in response to KathShanby Limnos,Do you actually subscribe to Apple Music or Match? If not then all you will get from Apple is a re-download of iTunes purchases to a blank, structure-less library.
The way to avoid this happening again is make sure you buy an external hard drive and use it for backups, e.g. with Time Machine.
