Pixelation issue while exporting movie from FCE4

I am getting major pixelation when I export my movie (which used .dv files) from FCE4. Can anyone suggest the best settings/formats to eliminate pixelation while getting the best picture clarity? Or should I use different movie files? I only lightly brightened and sharpened the picture. I am exporting it to burn to DVD and put on the web.
