I understand your iBooks purchase is not completing its download, and I'm happy to help get this resolved. If the download still has not completed, you should follow the recommendations in this support article to troubleshoot the connection to the iBooks Store:

After remaining on '3 seconds remaining' for quite a while I get a pop up window saying : 'your book failed to download' ( Sorry no screenshot of that).
There is nothing wrong with my connection to the iTunes store. Other downloads are fine. It is this specific book I cannot download.
