Download PDF to Pages (I purchased this software for $14.95) at App store.

Once converted open file in saved folder location.

This is your Pages copy.

Go to File: Convert to: Choose Epub from menu.

You can also convert to: docx or click on

Advanced tab: and

convert to doc. (2004 version)

There is no way to do this provided by Apple. I suggest you do a google search on the question to find various online sites which try to provide this service. There is an app called Calibre which might help. As pdf is not really designed to be converted to anything else, it can be a frustrating process, and it's often better to try to create the epub from scratch.
