Editting "Place Items In" pulldown in Copy Items dialog box

I'm wondering if there is a way to editing or modify the user added "Place Items In" pulldown in the Copy Items dialog. It seems that the user can different locations, and save as a template, but there seems to be no way of removing location from that pulldown due to a typo or dead location.
