Fed up with Font Book!!!

Font Book constantly gives serious error alerts for 90% of the fonts I try to install. I don't install a lot of fonts BTW, but I do work from home and need to use client fonts.

These fonts are legit fonts, used with no problem by my clients, some of which are large national accounts with in house graphic departments. In order to get the fonts installed, I have to resort to putting them in the particular App or the system font library. Then they work just fine. However that can limit my usage of the fonts in other Apps and I also would much prefer to have the fonts in one place where I can manage them.

PS I also hate that removing a font from Font Book puts them in the trash. Seeing as Font Book seems to be giving me so many headaches, I don't trust it, which means then I have to go and fish out the deleted fonts from the trash.

I have deleted the font cache to no avail.

Trying to work and make a living here, any help would be appreciated!
