Q: Not able to download app, it keeps showing waiting

I'm not able to download app from App Store since yesterday morning until now. It keeps showing waiting. I have tried to reboot, restart, even log out my iTunes ID, and sign in my ID, it can't be downloaded. I believe that my internet connection is great as I tried to download it at 2 places. Thought was my handphone is having software problem. But my friend tried he is also having the same problem. Can Apple support please rectify this problem as soon as possible ? It brings me lot of trouble As the apps is too big more than 100 mb I couldn't use my mobile data to download it. Please don't ask me to check my storage. I have more than enough space for this apps.

currently my iOS is 9.3.2

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2

    Hey there JoannePG,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities and for the detailed information about what's happening with your apps. I understand that you have an app that's stuck on "Waiting" and it won't fully install. I have some steps and settings that you can double check to help you get this app installed.

If you've already tried downloading the app over multiple Wi-Fi networks and signing out and back in with your Apple ID, then the next thing that I recommend to double check is that your device isn't in the process of trying to perform an iCloud backup or restore from an iCloud backup.  This can sometimes prevent apps from downloading or updating. You can check this by going to Settings > General > iCloud > Backup. If a Backup is taking place or it is attempting to restore a backup it will let you know on that page.

If you have multiple apps that are waiting to install, you can try to tap on their icons to pause them and then restart one of them. If this is just happening with one app, you can try to remove the app and reinstall it with these steps:

    1.  Go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage (underneath Storage)

    2.  Locate the app you're trying to install.

    3.  Tap on it and then tap Delete to remove it.

    4.  Go back to the App Store and try to re-download the app you're having trouble with.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers!

Do you use this same iTunes account on any other devices, such as an iPad or in iTunes on your computer? If so, see if you are having trouble downloading on one of these devices with that same iTunes account logged in. If you are, and it is with the same account, Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support. It may be an issue with your account on the server end that just needs a simple security verification. Call AppleCare and have them verify you for ownership of the account in this case. They can connect with iTunes Support to make sure there are no security locks from that end that would be blocking this action.
