Q: How do I reinstall Mountain Lion
I am running a 2007 MacBook Pro. The original OS X version was Mountain Lion, then the previous owner had El Capitan installed. Though I want to reinstall Mountain Lion. My problem is that when I open the Mountain Lion Installer, it says that my computer is too old!

The original OS version was Leopard or Tiger if it is a 2007 computer. If El Capitan is running on the computer, it will run Mountain Lion. Do a backup, preferable 2 on 2 separate drives. You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program which will do all the work for you. Boot of the USB drive and reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then install the OS.
