Q: Any way to contact the previous owner?

Okay so I bought an iPhone 6 plus from a guy and I have a bill of sale. The phone is not stolen nor lost but I am locked out of it because of the Activation screen (Find My iPhone), the phone is factory reset by the way. So I wanted to see if there is anything i can do to unlock the phone I even went to the police so I have proof that the phone is not stolen nor lost and I actually bought it. I have a bill of sale too. Also if there is no way can I at least get a way to contact the previous owner using their email or phone number if I take the phone to a Apple Store?

If the iPhone is Activation Lock and requesting the AppleID and password of the previous owner then only the previous owner can help you with that. Neither anyone here or at Apple will be able to help you with this problem.

Can you not contact the person you purchased the iPhone from? Return the iPhone to the person you purchased it from and ask for the money back. The iPhone is completely useless to you, unless the person who enabled Find My Phone disables it again.

There is no way at all to use it without the cooperation of the previous owner.

I can contact the person I bought the phone from but he is not the original owner and he says the phone is his friends but because I went to the police he is not going to co operate anymore! So I need to know if apple would give me the owners Email if I take the phone in. or maybe even you guys can email him and let him know of the situation because as you said the phone is 100% useless to me!

Your contract is with the person who sold the phone, not with the previous owner. It is fraud to sell you a device that cannot be unlocked. If he does not take the phone back, file  a formal complaint against him. Or dispose of the device.

Well I went to the police and they said technically the phone is "100% functional" It's just that he has a password on it and for that the police can't do anything! 2 things I could do are:

    1. Go to Apple and ask for assitance

    2. Go to court and try to get my money back

That is what I meant you should do. It is fraudulent to sell you a locked iPhone.

    1. Go to Apple and ask for assitance

Activation lock is a security feature to prevent you from using an iPhone without the previous owner's cooperation. Apple  will do nothing about it.
