    Hello PRIMA.Neanderthal,

I understand you are needing some assistance with copying your Mac OS X Calendar data to your Clipboard as well as importing/exporting Calendar data to Excel. I know how important it can be to be able to keep and organize calendar data in multiple places so i'm happy you decided to reach out to our support communities for help.

In order to copy your calendar data for the entire month to your Clipboard, follow these steps:

    1. Open Calendars and select the name of the calendar you want to copy data from.
    2. Select the Month tab located at the top so that you are viewing the entire month all at once.
    3. Select Edit > Select All from the Apple menu bar in the upper-left corner of your screen (next to where it says  Calendar).
    4. Select Edit > Copy from the same Apple menu bar.

Now that you have the entire months data copied, you can open a program like TextEdit and select Edit > Paste from the Apple  menu bar to view the data you just copied. You should see all data from that entire month now.

The easiest way to put that data into Excel in an easy-to-read format is to simply paste the copied data from your Clipboard into Excel the same way I just described for TextEdit. However, if you copy the data right from the Calendar app and then paste it right into Excel, it's only going to paste the first calendar event of that month and none of the others. This sounds like the issue you were running in to.

Fortunately there is an easy way around this:

    1. Paste the copied calendar data into TextEdit first.
    2. Copy all of the calendar data from TextEdit that you just pasted.
    3. Paste the data copied from TextEdit into Excel.

Since Calendar data is in a format that is not supported by Excel (ICS), exporting your calendar from Calendar to Excel can be a little more tricky but is definitely doable. To do this, follow the steps in this article:

    Calendar: Export and import calendars

Once you have your calendar exported, follow these steps in Excel:

    1. Select File > Open from the Apple menu bar.
    2. Choose All Files from the Enable drop-down menu.
    3. Select the saved calendar and select Open.
    4. You should then see a dialog box that will walk you through different settings you can select to choose how you would like the data to be formatted in Excel.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Have a great day!
